Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

Tab Trade - The Short Version

TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

That last detail tells you something. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker this new, the breadth is not narrow.

Platforms

You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from a single account. Many pick one platform. Getting both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That will be a good addition once it is live.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker has no minimum.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

This is the area where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.

Put together that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Hardly anyone at this price point offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
